About Berlin
Berlin is Germany’s capital with a very turbulent history. After World War II, it was dived into two strictly separated areas. The inhabitants lived in the same city, but under completely defferent political systems. Fortunately, this division is over since 1989 and Berlin has developed into a cultural, economic and political center not only in Germany but throughout Europe and the world.
You can visit famous museums for every type of interest, be part of the exciting nightlife, or attend a concert of any style. Berlin is also known for its architecture. Most famous is the „Brandenburger Tor“, that you will definitely pass through on your journey.
Another highlight you shouldn’t miss is the „KaDeWe“ – one of the world’s best known luxury deparment stores. A visit to the food hall is a must.
Less expensive is an excursion to the city forrest „Grunewald“ with plenty of lakes to swim in. You can spend hours hiking and cycling in nature.
Berlin has something to offer for everybody and it is well worth a trip. You will love it!
